Making An Appointment

Only one appointment, either in person or by telephone, is usually necessary to handle uncontested matters and that appointment may be conducted by telephone. It is not necessary that each of the parties be present. At the appointment, your specific situation and needs are thoroughly reviewed and discussed, as well as the legal procedure which will follow. The time to conduct the conference varies depending on the circumstances involved. Generally, the conference for an uncomplicated case lasts about 30 to 45 minutes. More extensive and complicated cases are over an hour. Contested cases generally involve an hour or more for the initial conference.
